The Us of His and Hers
We're firm believers in the idea that to know the people is to know the business. But there's more than one way to get to know a person. Here we let both others and ourselves speak for us, plus explain just why we think we might be a good fit for your personality and needs.
So, Why His and Hers?
It's not hard to find a wedding photographer or videographer. A quick Googling usually reveals several for any particular location, at all price ranges. So why should you pick His and Hers Creative?
Partly because of the name. Not because it's so catchy—although it is catchy, isn't it? come on, admit it—but because of what it means. As a married couple, we've been where you are now. We've been the ones watching the bottom line, making Mastercard's day, sorting through a hundred buying decisions, juggling schedules, and in the middle of it all, trying to figure out who we can trust to best preserve the memories of that day.
That's why our goal is to make our part of it as simple as possible. Simple pricing. Straightforward choices. And one-stop shopping, with all the one-stop advantages. Our job is to make your life easier, not more complicated—and we will.
Our having been there also means that we know what you want. We know you want to see the veil as it's being placed and arranged. The groom's nervous laughter. The last surviving grandmother being seated. The moment of the "I do"s.
And we think you might be interested in hearing the story about how you found each other, from each other. Re-live the day, perhaps, that you found the dress. Maybe even sit in on yourselves planning which band to use at the reception, or seeing what your lives were like at the time—your work, your hobbies, your friends.
We understand, you see, that a wedding is much more than just a day. It's the culmination of a journey, one that starts months before the vows and champagne, and is a time unlike any other. It's like neither before or after. It's a time unto itself, where you are more than just a couple, but not yet a sacred unity. We've lived that transition—that speeding down the runway to take-off—and remember how special, how private, it is. And we want to preserve that for you, because for all the stress, it is magic.
It's also why we enjoy it so much, something which sets us apart from too many in this profession. You heard us right: We actually enjoy shooting weddings. And why shouldn't we? It is a happy occasion. Certainly stressful, nerve-wracking even, but it's a positive energy, especially when you're surrounded by people who are excited for you, by people who want to be there.
And perhaps that's the most important thing: We're shooting weddings not because we feel we have to, as our "time in the trenches" before we move on to what we really want to do. We're shooting weddings because it's what we want to do. Because we want to help others avoid the problems we faced ourselves. Because at the end of the day—at the end of that day—two people have pledged to each other that life without the other isn't a life worth living. That's something worth capturing.
We look forward to capturing it, and the journey to that moment, for you.
