What To Expect
You find our website and love our pics. You email us for pricing and/or availability. We tell you that we're available on your day and either send you our pricing or set up a meeting to discuss it with you. At our meeting, we make sure you've selected a package that meets your needs, and we go over our contract. You sign the contract and pay our retainer, and we mark your date as unavailable. (If all of this happens in ten days or less, you select your booking bonus!)
Also at your contract signing, Carole will take a few pictures of you and your fiancé, so we can make a custom photo card for your reception. This card lets your guests know where they can see your wedding pics. Within a few days, we'll upload your pics to an online gallery and design your card.
As your wedding approaches, we'll touch base with you and send you a questionnaire to let us know the important details that will make sure you get all the shots that are most important to you. You'll pay your balance a couple of weeks before the wedding, and we'll send you an invoice marked "paid in full."
On your day, Carole will show up, nearly as excited as you are, early enough to get pics of you putting on your makeup and getting your hair done. While Carole is doing this, our second shooter will take pics of everything before people start arriving and get some photos of the guys getting ready.
The second shooter and Carole will both take pics of the ceremony from different locations. After the ceremony, she/he'll head off to get pics of your guests and/or the reception location before the guests enter. Carole will take you and your new groom and sneak off for some portraits of just the two of you, and then we'll take whatever group/family pics you would like to have.
At the reception, we'll get lots of detail shots and pictures of you and your guests chatting, laughing, and dancing. (We won't be getting pics of people eating. Sorry... ewww!) We'll get your first dance, your father/daughter - mother/son dances, cake cutting, garter/bouquet tossing, etc., etc., etc.... If your package has us staying until the end, we'll get pics of you as you leave. Hopefully, all of your guests will take home cards with your gallery's web address, so they can pre-register and be notified when the pics are uploaded. (They'll get $5 off their order, if they do!)
After the wedding, our real work begins. Over the next few days, depending on the workload, we'll start going through your images. There will likely be 1000 or more of them, so it will take us awhile! On our first pass through, we'll mark for deletion any that are unflattering to you, we'll star our favorites,and we'll stack similar photos for later review and comparison. Knowing ourselves, we'll be so excited over some of them that we can't stand it, and we'll edit them and post them to Facebook and/or our blog almost immediately. Then, it's back to ranking and sorting. Once we've selected the best photos from each section of the day, we'll start doing basic editing and some basic album pre-design (which pretty much involves throwing the photos on the pages that we think we'll want them on, to be arranged later).
